Kunal Ghosh claims 4 BJP MPs will join TMC, sparks speculation on names
A tragic shooting incident in Jagatpur village, Bhagalpur, has left Union Minister Nityanand Rai’s nephew dead, while his brother and mother sustained injuries. The deadly clash occurred on Thursday morning over a dispute related to drawing water from a supply tap.
The deceased, Vishwajeet Yadav, and the injured, Jayjeet Yadav, were brothers who got into a heated argument over using the tap. Their mother tried to mediate, but the conflict escalated into a violent exchange of gunfire. Reports suggest that Vishwajeet fired first, injuring Jayjeet, but in retaliation, Jayjeet snatched the gun and shot Vishwajeet, resulting in his death during treatment.
Residents and family members rushed to the scene after hearing gunshots. When they broke open the door, they found Vishwajeet lying critically injured, while Jayjeet and their mother were also hurt. The three were immediately taken to Dr. N.K. Yadav’s nursing home in Bhagalpur, where Vishwajeet succumbed to his injuries. Jayjeet is currently under treatment, while their mother sustained a gunshot wound in her hand.
Authorities have begun an in-depth investigation, with forensic teams examining the crime scene. SDPO Om Prakash has confirmed that police are questioning neighbors and relatives to understand the history of disputes between the two brothers. Initial reports indicate that Jayjeet has a criminal background and was previously involved in multiple murder cases.
